Research Interest: My current work focuses on employing density functional theory (DFT), machine learning, and data mining to study ground and excited state properties of materials.  Properties calculable from DFT and chemical formulas are used to form training sets for machine learning algorithms.  The produced models are applied to large materials databases to discover materials with desired properties.  Materials predicted to be of interest are then studied with DFT.
